How do they predict the weather?
Its frustrating sometimes..."they" say it will rain and we get excited, but then nothing happens. We expect science to be able to explain what is happening in nature and we expect instant feedback and accurate predictions to make our plans for the week, but is this reasonable? There are so many variables to consider that even with the most advanced weather satellites and computers, all humans can do is make the best prediction based upon what has happened in the past. This is the same thing that happens at school. We use data and your student work to predict how well you will do in your future studies, but again, there are so many variables that nobody can actually tell how you will do in the future. This said, remember that you are the main one who can make big changes in the variables and change the path of your future. Just because you are "failing" classes now, doesn't mean that you will continue to do so or that your future is set. You can make big changes and astound everybody! Go for it!
