Don't quit when the going gets hard!

It seems like Junior High is so hard...this work is hard...these teachers are hard...its not fair! Really? Think about it. If it was easy, would you be learning anything? It would be really easy if you could just be tested on the things you already knew, wouldn't it? It would be fun if you could run a race with just people who were slower than you are, but would winning that blue ribbon really mean as much as it would if you had really worked and competed with people at your own level? Life is like this- you only get better when you have to stretch yourself. You only get smarter if you have to work to understand the new concepts and you only improve if you are willing to put in some effort. Take charge of your learning and growing- use your text book for help, ask a friend or a teacher, sign up for Khan Academy and review the new concepts you have been introduced to or watch YouTube videos. Go for it! You can do it- it won't be easy but anything worth doing is worth doing well.
