I was wrong...about summer that is

Well if you watched the video on this page, you know I was wrong about why we have summer but still...summer is not a reward for all your "hard work" in school and education is not a punishment you get for 9 months. Education is what will make or break you in life and as we discussed at the beginning of class, education is not just school. This summer, continue your education. Learn to do something new, take time to watch something happen, read a book, solve puzzles, write a diary- do something! Your brain is an awesome thing (watch the videos on the MathCounts page) and it really is terrible to let it sit and veg out in front of a TV or worse, spend most of its time sleeping! There are so many opportunities for you to keep on learning. Use Khan Academy for your math and places like YouTube to learn something new (not to watch kittens...). Have fun this summer and come back ready to continue learning :)
